Henri Léopold Lévy

Henri Léopold Lévy (born September 23, 1840 in Paris , † December 29, 1904 there ) was a French painter.

Life

Lévy came from a family of artisans, his father was a sought-after interior designer. He attended the École des Beaux-Arts (EBA) and was there a. a. Student of Alexandre Cabanel , Eugène Fromentin and François-Édouard Picot . With the support of his teachers, Lévy was able to successfully debut in 1865 at the major annual exhibition of the Salon de Paris . His exhibited work " Hécube retrouve au bord de la mer le corps de son fils Polydore " was awarded a gold medal.

Henri-Léopold Lévy died at the age of 64 on December 29, 1904 in Paris, where he found his final resting place.
