Henri Proglio

Henri Proglio (born June 29, 1949 in Antibes ) is a French manager .

Life

Proglio studied economics in Paris at the École des hautes études commerciales de Paris . After completing his studies, he got a job with the French company Compagnie Générale des Eaux , which he took over in 1990. In 1999 he became Vice President of Vivendi Universal and Chairman and CEO of what was then Vivendi Water , which is now part of Veolia as Veolia Water . In 2009 he moved to the French energy company Électricité de France (EDF), of which he is CEO and President as the successor to Pierre Gadonneix .

His twin brother, René Proglio, is the head of Morgan Stanley in France . This played a role in the EnBW affair because the investigative committee of the state of Baden-Württemberg suspected a conflict of interest due to the role of Morgan Stanley's Germany boss, Dirk Notheis , in the affair.
