Henri Snykens

Henri Snykens (* 1854 in Brussels ; † unknown) was a Belgian genre painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Snykens studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1871 to 1885 . There Andreas Müller , Heinrich Lauenstein , Karl Müller , Eduard Gebhardt , Julius Roeting , Carl Ernst Forberg and Wilhelm Sohn were his teachers. In 1884 he exhibited in the Eduard Schulte gallery in Düsseldorf , in 1886 at the Berlin anniversary exhibition, in 1888 and 1889 at the Berlin Academy exhibition. In 1896 a work by Snykens appeared in " Lepke's Berlin Art Exhibition ". From 1884 to 1893 Snykens was a member of the Malkasten artists' association .
