Henri Vilbert (actor)

Henri Vilbert (born April 6, 1904 as Henri Miquely in Marseille , † April 19, 1997 in Cagnes-sur-Mer ) was a French actor.

Life

Henri Vilbert made his debut on the theater stage in 1923 and also appeared in films from 1930. In the character field he played very different roles. Renowned directors of French post-war cinema such as Claude Autant-Lara , André Cayatte and Julien Duvivier offered him challenging tasks. At the Venice International Film Festival in 1953, Vilbert received the Best Actor Award for his role in Le bon Dieu sans confession .
