Henriette Burenne

Henriette Burenne , married Henriette Heuser-Burenne (* around 1850 probably in Prague ; † November 21, 1878 there ) was a Czech opera singer ( alto ) who worked in Cologne, Prague and Hamburg.

Life

As the daughter of a Prague music teacher, she was engaged as the first contralto at the Cologne Opera House from 1872–1874 . In the following years she worked at the Deutsches Theater in Prague (1874–76) and at the City Theater in Hamburg (1876–77). In Hamburg she sang successfully in the German premiere of Verdi's Aida die Amneris in 1876 , as well as in a guest performance at the Vienna Court Opera in the same year. After 1877 she returned to Prague. Her career came to an abrupt end with an early death.
