Henriette Wagner (born December 25, 1883 in Mannheim , † February 24, 1943 in Stuttgart ) was a German communist resistance fighter against the Nazi state .

Life

Henriette Wagner came from a Mannheim family. She was interested in social and political issues early on. After the November Revolution, she joined the Communist Party of Germany (KPD). With her mandate she was a city ​​councilor in the Mannheim city council for many years .

When KPD officials were persecuted after the transfer of power to the NSDAP in 1933, it temporarily found refuge with the center member August Kuhn . She later hid the persecuted herself.

Because of her connection to the Lechleiter resistance group, she was arrested in 1942 and sentenced to death by the People's Court in October together with others from the group . On February 24, 1943, she was executed with the guillotine in the Stuttgart Regional Court .

She was denied the desire to see her son again before her execution.
