Beginnings in the junior sector
Pedersen began at the age of 19 as a coach for various youth teams at Holstebro BK. After further positions as an amateur coach at the clubs Esbjerg fB and Aarhus GF , he started his work in the football division of Red Bull GmbH in 2008 , where he looked after the U18 and U19 teams for six years. Between 2010 and 2012 he was also employed as a coach at the Red Bull Ghana Academy (now the West African Football Academy ), which is supported by Red Bull .
Establishment in the professional sector

During the winter break of the 2015/16 season, Pedersen got to know the German soccer coach Jens Keller during a stay in Turkey in order to observe clubs that were doing their training camp there. He promised Pedersen a position as assistant coach if Keller found a job as head coach. For the 2016/17 season, Pedersen was Jens Keller's assistant coach at the German second division club Union Berlin . In December 2017 he was released together with Jens Keller.
On May 30, 2018, the Dane signed a contract with third division club Eintracht Braunschweig as head coach until 2020 with the option of an extension of one year. After only eight points from the first eleven games of the season and the last place in the table, he was released on October 10, 2018 and replaced by André Schubert . On June 20, 2019, he became a coach in Norway for the first division club Strømsgodset IF .
