Henrik Simojoki

Henrik Simojoki (* 1975 in Münster ) is a German Protestant theologian and religious educator.

Life

After graduating from the German School Helsinki in 1994 and completing military service (1994–1995) with military chaplaincy training, from 1995 to 2001 he studied Protestant theology in Heidelberg , Neuendettelsau , Tübingen and Erlangen . After the first ecclesiastical examination in 2001 ( Evangelical Church of Westphalia ), he worked from 2001 to 2003 as a research assistant on the DFG research project "Modern Religious Education in Denominational and Comparative Perspective". After the vicariate in Ansbach from 2004 to 2006 and the second church examination in 2006, ordination ( Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria ), he was from 2006 to 2011 a research assistant at the chair for practical theology / religious education. After receiving his doctorate in 2007, he represented the professorship for religious education at Saarland University from 2011 to 2012 . After his habilitation in 2012 in the field of practical theology at the Protestant theological faculty of the University of Tübingen , he was professor for Protestant theology with a focus on religious education and didactics of religious education at the Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg from 2012 to 2020 . Since 2020 he has been Professor of Practical Theology and Religious Education at the Theological Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin .
