Henrike Jütting (* 1970 in Münster ) is a German author .

Life and education

Henrike Jütting graduated from high school in Münster and then trained as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk . Then she studied sociology and cultural studies in Bremen . She also completed a distance learning course in literary writing. After completing her studies, Henrike Jütting received her doctorate in economics and social sciences and worked in Bremen, Brussels and Celle . The married mother of two daughters is now living as a writer in Münster again.

Publications

Her dissertation "Voluntary engagement of young people. An empirical case study on graduates of the European Voluntary Service" was published in 2003 by LIT-Verlag. Henrike Jütting examined youth engagement in the context of a European volunteer program in the context of an empirical case study and researched action orientations and learning experiences as well as young people's awareness of Europe.

After a few short stories, her first crime thriller was published in 2017 under the title “Silent Waters”. The Westfälische Nachrichten wrote that the main character was “developed in a sympathetic, realistic way and an exciting story about an almost forgotten death” was being told. In the WDR , the Münster thriller was described as "competition for Wilsberg and Co.". Her second thriller "Villa 13" was published in 2019. In it, the fictional Münster inspector Katharina Klein is the protagonist .
