Henry Hasenpflug

Siegfried Henry Hasenpflug (born September 3, 1948 in Radeburg ) is a Saxon political official . He was 2001 to 2010 provincial government and president of the Provincial Directorate of the Directorate district Dresden . From December 2010 to November 2014, Hasenpflug was State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art .

Life

Hasenpflug received vocational training with a high school diploma as a mechanical engineer in the GDR . He then completed a teaching degree at the “Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Wander” University of Education in Dresden , specializing in geography / mathematics. This was followed by five years as a specialist teacher.

From 1976 Hasenpflug devoted himself to research and teaching in the field of geography again at the PH Dresden. He received his doctorate in 1982 and habilitated in 1990 on social and economic geography issues.

During the restructuring of the Saxon university landscape in 1992, he moved as a consultant to the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior, which was being set up . Most recently he was head of department there and, as head of the project group on municipal reforms, was responsible for the implementation of the municipal reform in Saxony. On February 1, 1998, Hasenpflug became President of the State Statistical Office of the Free State of Saxony in Kamenz . As president, he completed the establishment of the authority and pushed ahead with further modernization.

Hasenpflug was appointed regional president of the Dresden regional council on January 1, 2001 as successor to Helmut Weidelener . His name appeared in the press when his authority made decisions in favor of the construction of the Waldschlößchenbrücke in Dresden since 2006. After Hansjörg König moved as State Secretary to the Saxon Ministry of Finance, initiated by a cabinet reshuffle in Thuringia , Hasenpflug succeeded him as State Secretary in Saxony in December 2010 State Ministry of Science and the Arts, which he held until his retirement on November 30, 2014.

Hasenpflug has three children and lives in Radeburg . He was president of the Saxon Carnival Association from 1994 to 1999 and has been honorary president since then. He is also chairman of the Association of Friends and Patrons of the Army Officer School . V.
