Henry Potter also called Harry Potter (born October 4, 1881 in St. Louis , Missouri , † January 24, 1955 in New York City ) was an American golfer .
biography
Potter played golf at the St. Louis Country Club . At the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis , he was able to win the silver medal in a team competition with the Trans Mississippi Golf Association . In the individual, however, he was eliminated in the first round against the British Simpson Foulis . In addition to his Olympic silver medal, a second place in the Missouri Amateur 1907 was his greatest success in golf. Potter later moved to New York City where he worked in a law firm.
His brother Clarkson Potter also competed in golf singles at the 1904 Olympics.
