Henry Redman

Henry Redman († July 10, 1528 in Brentford ) was an English builder and sculptor .

Redman has been a stonemason at Westminster Abbey since 1495 ; In 1516 he succeeded his father (or brother) Thomas Redman as master mason of Westminster Abbey. He made the designs for Cardinal Wolsey's palaces York Place and Hampton Court Palace (1515-16) and for Christ Church College in Oxford (1525). Several other structures can be attributed to him, on some of which he worked with William Vertue . John Molton succeeded him as the builder of the King and Westminster Abbey .
