Henryk Nowara (born June 14, 1924 in Wielke Hajduki , now Chorzów Batory, † November 28, 2001 in Chorzów Batory ), nickname "Hajna", was a boxer and boxing trainer as well as a multiple Olympic participant.

Life

Henryk Nowara gained his first experience with boxing before the Second World War (1935–1939). During the war he was drafted into the Wehrmacht , where he completed a few boxing matches. Between 1946 and 1958 Henryk Nowara fought as an active boxer for the Polish Boxing Federation. In 1961 he reached the rank of first class coach and then worked as a coach in Poland , Mexico , Finland and Sweden . After retiring from boxing, he lived in Chorzów Batory and Bochum . Henryk Nowara died of arteriosclerosis .
