Henryk Mieczyslaw Szymanowski (born April 11, 1952 in Cracow ) is a former Polish football player who played for a long time in the position of defender at the Polish club Wisła Cracow .
Career as a player
society
Henryk Szymanowski started his career at the age of eleven with the Cracow club Wisła Krakow , where he laced his shoes for a full 20 years. In 1971 Henryk made his team debut. Until 1983 he played 230 league games, where he also scored three goals. His greatest successes with Wisła Krakau were the championship title in the 1977/78 season and participation in the 1978/79 National Champions' Cup . There he was able to play through the first and second legs in the first round against Club Bruges and in the second round against FC Zbrojovka Brno . However, he was no longer considered in the quarter-finals. In 1983 Henryk made his first move and went to city rivals Cracovia Krakow . Not much is known about his time at Cracovia. After 3 years he went abroad for a year to the lower class Austrian club SV Langenrohr . Then the American club Eagles Yonkers New York signed the Poles. He stayed there for three years, then ended his career.

Henryk Szymanowski played only once for the Polish national team in his entire career.
Career as a coach
From 2008 he was a coach at Wawel Kraków , and from 2010 coach at MKS Maków Podhalański .
