The Herald on Sunday is a national Sunday newspaper in New Zealand . Its catchment area is in the greater Auckland area and the entire North Island of New Zealand. The newspaper is based in Auckland .

The newspaper

The Herald on Sunday was first published in October 2004, only appears on Sundays and in 2014 had an average readership of 319,000 readers. The paper has its own editorial team with an editor-in-chief, but is run by the management of the New Zealand Herald .

Every issue of the newspaper is accompanied by the magazine Living (lifestyle and travel) and Homes (advertisements for the various real estate companies).

Group affiliation

The Herald on Sunday belongs to the New Zealand Herald newspaper and is therefore owned by the New Zealand NZME. Publishing Limited , which was renamed APN Holdings NZ Limited in January 2015 . The NZME. Publishing Limited is owned by the Australian company APN News & Media Limited (APN), which is part of the Irish media group Independent News & Media .
