Herbert Ewen (born February 1, 1939 ) is a former German soccer player.

The from the youth of SC Empor Rostock native Herbert Ewen completed on May 30, 1957 more than 18-year-old a commitment to Rostock in East German football Cup competition in 1957 , but did not in this Cup season in which his team to the finals pushed forward, still in the championship season 1957 of the second-rate league , in which Rostock achieved direct promotion back to the league , to another use for the Ostseestädter.

During the league season 1962/63 Ewen was in the squad of SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt , which had achieved promotion from the GDR league in the pre-season 1961/62 . For Karl-Marx-Stadt, Ewen completed his only assignment in the highest East German division on September 23, 1962.

In 1967 Ewen rose with the 2nd team of FC Hansa Rostock from the third-class Rostock district league to the GDR league. In the GDR league season 1967/68 Ewen belonged to the regular squad of the 2nd team and completed 16 point games as a full or central defender. In the following season he was no longer part of the team.
