Herbert Grove
Herbert "Harry" Grove (born May 7, 1862 in Tulse Hill , London ; † February 7, 1896 there ; also Henry Grove ) was an English tennis player.
Career
Grove took part in tennis tournaments from 1881 and played regularly at the Wimbledon Championships until 1893 . In 1886 and 1887 he won the Manchester tournament . In 1887 he reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon, but lost there to Herbert Lawford . With Charles Lacy Sweet he played in 1890 in Calcutta, India in doubles at the Southern India Championships .
He died in 1896 at the age of only 33.
