Herbert Haas (politician, 1934)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Herbert Haas (* 1934 in Randersacker ; † 2011 ) was a German architect, district home administrator, author and politician ( ÖDP ).

Live and act

Haas was very committed to the landscape, monument preservation and local culture. He offered guided tours through the old town of Randersacker, the museum vineyard "Altfränkischer Wengert" and the historic quarry in Lindelbach. In the summer he took children through the community as part of the Randersackerer holiday program (motto: “Know yourself from Rantzacker”). He initiated the "local and landscape walks" of his party on site. Haas stood up for the preservation of the Main valley and was involved with the opponents of the expansion of the Main . Among other things, he was on the road with slide presentations under the title “Our lifeline Main” and “Design problems in village and small town”. In 2003 he was appointed district home nurse. Before joining the ÖDP, Haas was active in various non-partisan citizens' initiatives, including the Maintal Action Group and the UWG. From 1984 to 2003 he was the environmental and nature conservation officer of the Randersacker market.

Haas gave lectures throughout the Federal Republic, organized exhibitions and wrote publications. He suggested the publication of the text “Natural stone walls in the village and corridor” and, in terms of content and concept, played an essential part in this publication, which was also translated into French. The Directorate for Rural Development makes the knowledge gained here available to the public in a traveling exhibition on natural stone masonry.

In 1996 he was elected from the last place on the list in the municipal council election, and in 2002 he was re-elected. In 2003 he left there. In 2007 he came to the district council of the Würzburg district as a successor, and in 2008 he was elected to the district council.
