Herbert Hauffe

Herbert Hauffe (born February 18, 1914 in Bochum , † May 21, 1997 in Bayreuth ) was a German SPD politician .

Life and work

After elementary school , Hauffe attended high school , which he left in 1930 with secondary school leaving certificate. After an apprenticeship as a bricklayer, he graduated from the building school in Coburg by 1936, where he graduated as a civil engineer. He then worked as a construction technician and manager until 1945. After the Second World War he started his own business as an architect in Lichtenfels . Hauffe was also involved in the Schney Free Gymnastics Association , which became the Workers 'Gymnastics and Sports Association before workers' sport was banned in 1933belonged, but after 1945, like all re-established workers' sports clubs, joined the general sports associations. For his services to the association, of which he was chairman from 1958 to 1982, he was made honorary chairman in March 1982.

Political party

From 1928 to 1933 Hauffe was a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth . In 1932 he joined the SPD. In August 1945 he was one of the re-founders of the SPD in Lichtenfels .
