Herbert Hindelang (born December 8, 1940 in Hertingen ) is a former German biathlete .

Herbert Hindelang started for the Nesselwang sports club . He first took part in 1966 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , then in 1967 in Altenberg in the biathlon world championships and was 34th in the individual. The career highlight was the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , where Hindelang was 41st in the individual and ninth in the relay with Theo Merkel , Xaver Kraus and Gerhard Gehring . In 1969 he was used again in Zakopane at a Biathlon World Cup and reached 48th place in the individual. In 1970 he took part in Östersund for the fourth time, in Hämeenlinna in 1971 for the fifth time. After his active career he became a coach in the club.
