Herbert Kochta (* 1932 in Mährisch Ostrau ) is a German architect .

Career

From the mid-1960s to 2005, Herbert Kochta planned buildings mainly in Munich and Bavaria. 1970 to 1973 he designed the terrace residential complex in Ottobrunn . From 1987 he was a design consultant for the construction of Munich Airport .

From 1990 onwards he designed various buildings in Hellabrunn Zoo . In 1998 his competition entry for Terminal 2 at Munich Airport was chosen as one of the three favorites. In 2005 the InterContinental Berchtesgaden Resort was built according to his plans.

He planned both under his own name and in the Kochta + Lechner architectural association with Hans Lechner.
