Herbert Krupp

Herbert Maria Wilhelm Krupp (born March 27, 1894 in Bonn , † March 16, 1967 in Breitbrunn am Chiemsee ) was a German district administrator.

Live and act

After graduating from high school, Herbert Krupp registered as a war volunteer in 1914 and was taken prisoner of war during the fighting for Verdun in 1916 , from which he was released in 1920 and dismissed as a first lieutenant. He began studying law and economics and received his doctorate in 1922. This was followed by informational employment in the municipal and cash register service.

In 1927 Krupp passed the “mayor examination” at the Oberpräsidium Koblenz , but was not elected because of his “legal position”. In the following two years he worked as a spa director in Bad Tölz and then as a bathing commissioner in Binz on Rügen.

On January 1, 1931, he was accepted into the NSDAP , but was deregistered in October. On May 1, 1933 he was re-admitted to the party. Krupp was the swimming pool director in Westerland from April 1, 1931 to October 1, 1933 . On the recommendation of the NSDAP Gauleitung Westfalen-Nord he was appointed acting mayor of Bad Oeynhausen on October 11, 1933 (inauguration) .

By decree of February 27, 1934, Krupp was appointed to act as a representative for the administration of the Steinfurt District Office. On October 22, 1934, Krupp was initially provisional, on April 24, 1935, Krupp became the head of the district of Steinfurt and remained in this position until the end of the war. From May 1941 on he did part of the military service. He was the district manager for local politics in Steinfurt.
