Herbert Major (born June 9, 1910 in Plauen im Vogtland; † September 27, 2009 in Hüde ) was a German author and local history researcher who lived and worked in Diepholz ( Diepholz district , Lower Saxony ). His focus was on publications on Diepholz topics.

Life

From 1962 to 1975 he was rector of the secondary school in Diepholz.

In addition to and especially after his work as a teacher in the Lower Saxony school service, he was honorary director of the city ​​archive of Diepholz from 1974 to 1999 .
