Herbert Schwarz (born March 8, 1953 in Bad Aibling ) is a former German speed skater .

Career

At the German Junior Championship in 1970 in Inzell , she was able to take first place in the mini four-way fight (500, 1500, 1000 and 3000 meters). A year later, also in Inzell , Schwarz set a new junior world record with 176.923 points in the small four- way battle over 500, 3000, 1500 and 5000 meters. At the 1972 Winter Olympics he was part of the German squad in Sapporo , where he started over 500 (31st place), 1500 (32nd) and 5000 meters (27th). In 1973 he was successful at the national U23 championships and was again German champion. In Innsbruck in 1976 and in Lake Placid in 1980 , Schwarz also took part in the Winter Olympics, where a twelfth place over 1500 meters was his best result.

At the German all-around championships between 1971 and 1978 she won seven silver medals and at the sprint championships two bronze medals. In total, he was able to set a German record 15 times in his career.
