List of rose varieties

The rose variety 'Heritage' (syn. 'AUSblush'; 'Roberta') is a light pink, frequently flowering shrub rose that was introduced in Great Britain by David Austin in 1984 .

The rose variety was bred from a cross of the white floribunda rose 'Schneewittchen' and the light pink English rose 'Wife of Bath' with a seedling. Like all English roses that can be traced back to the Floribunda pink 'Snow White', the 'Heritage' belongs to the 'Heritage' subgroup of English roses.

education

The rose 'Heritage' forms an upright shrub with an average height and width of 120 cm and is characterized by strong growth and almost thornless shoots. The remontant rose variety is extremely hardy ( USDA climate zones 5b to 10b). The 'Heritage' rose is characterized by bowl-shaped, light pink, up to 10 cm large flower rosettes, which are formed from up to 40 petals . The flowers appear in small clusters that develop from rounded buds. The flowers appear in early summer and bloom continuously into autumn. The flowers are characterized by an intense scent of lemon , myrrh , cloves and honey . The small, semi-glossy leaves of the rose form a lively contrast to the light color of the flowers due to their dark green color. The rose is suitable for planting flower beds, mixed borders and cottage gardens . The 'Heritage' rose is also used in floristry , especially in natural flower arrangements.

The 'Heritage' rose variety is shown in numerous rosariums and gardens around the world, including the Boston Botanic Garden, the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden, the Rosarium Uetersen , the Europa-Rosarium Sangerhausen and the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe .
