Herman Dune (until 2006: Herman Düne ) is a French indie pop band that was founded in 1999. Herman Dune are assigned to the genres anti-folk , lo-fi or folk . The band is often mistaken for a Swedish band, presumably because Andrés and David's mother is Swedish. At times it was suspected that the band had spread this rumor themselves. In an interview, however, André and Neman put an end to the rumor and said: "The band is French".

Side projects

André Herman Düne (bourgeois André Benouaisch ), who has lived in Berlin since 2003, has released several dozen CDs under his own and various artist names such as John Trawling, Klaus Bong, Ben Dope, Ben Haschish, Fast Ganz, The Fountain Boats, Kreuzberg Museum and Stanley Brinks. These CDs often include guest appearances by musicians who are friends, mostly from the anti- folk environment, e.g. B. Turner Cody , Rachel Lipson, and Julie Doiron . The latter can also be heard on the 2005 CD Not On Top . These have appeared on his own label RADBAB Records and are sold at the concerts or by mail order . Stanley Brinks is his current name, which he chose after leaving Herman Dune. There were problems with the EMI label, as far as the name was concerned, and that's why André Herman Düne turned into Stanley Brinks. RABDAB Releases:
