Hermann-Josef Freiherr von Boeselager

Hermann-Josef Freiherr von Boeselager (born March 16, 1913 in Heimerzheim , Bonn district ; † November 8, 1963 ) was a German farmer and forest manager and a CDU politician .

Boeselager married Sophie Countess Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht (1913-2014) in 1939, with whom he had children Markus, Dela , Maria-Anna, Antonius, Lidwine and Hermann-Joseph, who were born between 1941 and 1955. Boeselager died of a fatal heart attack at the wheel of his car in 1963.

Hermann-Josef Freiherr von Boeselager attended a humanistic grammar school . He studied law in Friborg , Munich , Bonn and Königsberg . In 1935 he became a trainee lawyer and in 1939 an assessor. From 1942 he worked in agriculture.

Hermann-Josef Freiherr von Boeselager was a member of the CDU. From 1950 to 1954 he was a member of the Ollheim office. From 1952 to 1961 he was a member of the Bonn district council; here he was from 1956 deputy group chairman.

From July 21, 1958 to July 20, 1962, von Boeselager was a directly elected member of the 4th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 020 Bonn-Land-Nord.
