Hermann-Josef Wilbertz (born June 15, 1943 ) is a former German soccer player . From 1967 to 1974 he played a total of 116 games (6 goals) in the Bundesliga and 98 games (16 goals) in the Regionalliga West for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen .

career

Wilbertz came to RWO for the 1967/68 round from the Rheydter Spielverein and immediately took 3rd place in the Regionalliga West with the team from the Niederrhein Stadium . In his second season, 1968/69 , he celebrated the championship in the west with the team of coach Alfred Preißler and thus moved into the Bundesliga promotion round. With his teammates Lothar Kobluhn , Franz Krauthausen and Hugo Dausmann , they won the promotion round against competitors Freiburg FC, SV Alsenborn, Hertha Zehlendorf and VfB Lübeck and were promoted to the Bundesliga. In Oberhausen's debut game in the Bundesliga on August 16, 1969, in the 3-1 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt, he was the right defender. With the 14th place in the table, the climber managed to stay in the league and Wilbertz had scored two goals in 32 missions. Hugo Dausmann headed the internal goalscorer list with 15 goals. In the 1972/73 season, however, RWO suffered relegation. Under the coaches Günter Brocker (until November 1, 1972), Friedhelm Kobluhn (November 2 to December 31, 1972) and Heinz Murach (from January 1, 1973) another 31 league games and scored two goals. From 1969 to 1973 Wilbertz played a total of 116 games in the Bundesliga and scored six goals. After relegation he came in the last year of the old regional league second class , 1973/74 , with Oberhausen behind Wattenscheid 09 to the runner-up, but failed in the promotion round to Tennis Borussia Berlin and FC Augsburg . He has played a total of 98 league games in the Regionalliga West and scored 16 goals. In the first year of the newly introduced 2nd Bundesliga , 1974/75, he played 37 games and scored seven goals. Oberhausen rose directly to the amateur league and he moved to 1. FC Mülheim . There were another 19 second division games in which he was able to score three more goals.
