Location of Lasfelde in Osterode am Harz |
Lasfelde was a street village along the B243 in the Upper Harz rand in Söse valley and is now with the neighboring villages Katzenstein and Petershütte and the former county town of Osterode am Harz grown together, so that it now forms a district of Osterode. Osterode is located in the district of Göttingen (formerly in the district of Osterode am Harz ) in southern Lower Saxony in Germany .
history
The village was founded on the Northeim -Osterode- Goslar trade route , which the Pipinsburg (Osterode) helped protect . In the 12th century it appears in documents as silva que dicitur Laresfelt and in 1225 as Larsfelde . Kurmainz owned property in the village , as well as the counts of Lutterberg Castle and Scharzfels Castle, as well as the Walkenried monastery and the Osteroder Jacobi monastery . Lasfelde later belonged to the Osterode office. In 1882 the St. Simon and Judas Church was built, the parish of which today belongs to the Harzer Land parish . In 1950 the primary school building was erected. On February 1, 1971 Lasfelde was incorporated.
Lasfelde forms an urban unit with Katzenstein and Petershütte .
