The Söse is a 38 kilometers long right tributary of the Rhume in Lower Saxony , Germany .
course
The Söse is created by the confluence of the small and large Söse in Kamschlacken . The Kleine Söse rises near the junction of the B 498 from the B 242 at Sperberhaier Damm . The Große Söse, in turn, rises immediately to the east of the Sösestein on the west side of the Ackerhöhenzug . After the confluence, the Söse flows through Kammschlacken and Riefensbeek , both districts of Osterode am Harz , only to be dammed a few kilometers later in the Sösetalsperre . From there it flows to Osterode and bends to the northwest, only a few kilometers west of the Harz near Badenhausen to the west and near Eisdorf to the south. In this direction the Söse flows through the Osteroder district of Dorste . It then flows into the Rhume - flowing in a westerly direction - between Berka and Elvershausen , both districts of Katlenburg-Lindau in the Northeim district .
hike
At the confluence of the Great Söse and the Great Morgenbrod is the morning Brodt hut (about 600 to 605 m above sea level. ; ⊙ ). This point is included as no. 148 in the system of stamp points of the Harz hiking pin.
