Hermann (Provost)

Hermann († February 13, 1206 ) was provost in the diocese of Münster .

Life

Hermann, a close relative of Bishop Hermann II , was appointed cathedral provost in 1192 and held the cathedral provost during the lifetime of his predecessor Bernhard von Steinfurt († 1193). Linked to this function were asset management and external representation of the cathedral chapter . Hermann was also provost of St. Mauritz and stayed in this capacity on August 16, 1198 together with Bishop Hermann II in the army camp of Philip of Swabia . Hermann's successor was Rembold .
