Hermann Bauer (Author)

Hermann Bauer (* 1954 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Hermann Bauer was born in Vienna in 1954 and spent around 30 years in the Viennese district of Floridsdorf . From 1983 to 2019 he taught German and English at the Bundeshandelsakademie und Bundeshandelsschule Favoriten (BHAK Vienna 10), where he performed annually with the theater group 10/77 under the direction of Marcus Strahl .

In Floridsdorf he was a regular at Café Fichtl for a long time . In 2008 he published his first detective novel with Fernwehträume in Gmeiner-Verlag , all about the fictional Floridsdorf Café Heller and its head waiter Leopold, who likes to solve murders and get in the way of the police. The model was the Floridsdorfer Café Fichtl and the head waiter there. The volume Schnitzlerlust (2014) was also published in the form of an abbreviated author's reading as an audio book by Mono Verlag . In 2020, the 13th coffeehouse thriller was released with Grillparzerkomplott .
