The Bundeshandelsakademie und Bundeshandelsschule Wien 10 is a vocational middle and higher school ( BMHS ) in Pernerstorfergasse 77 in the 10th district of Favoriten, Vienna . The school houses several types of school: commercial academy, commercial school, commercial school for competitive athletes, advanced course, college and evening school.
history
In 1866, the Vienna Women's Acquisition Association founded a private business school in the 4th district of Wieden at Waltergasse 7 to enable girls and women to get an apprenticeship and gainful employment. In 1904 the school was given public rights . During the Second World War, the listed school building was used by the Wehrmacht and was returned to school use after the war (today Bundesrealgymnasium Waltergasse ).
With director Bruno Nussbichler in the 1970s the business school was combined with a business academy and coeducational teaching was introduced.
The school then moved to the school building of the former HTL in Schellinggasse 13 in the 1st district of Innere Stadt and then to the current school building in Pernerstorfergasse in the 10th district of Favoriten.

The former federal trade school for mechanical engineering and electrical engineering was developed in 1888 with the teacher and technician Johann Hauptfleisch and built as a master craftsman's school for mechanical engineering according to the plans of the architect Camillo Sitte and expanded in 1893 and 1906. The school building as old building is a three-storey strenghistoristischer view brick with plaster division and is under monument protection .
