Hermann Dröse

Hermann Dröse (born February 19, 1880 in Minden ; † June 4, 1957 ibid) was a German social democratic politician.

Life

Hermann Dröse was elected in 1923 by the Minden City Council as an alderman in the management of the Minden city administration. This was the highest office that a Social Democrat had achieved in Minden up to that point. Before the start of National Socialist rule, Dröse was the director of the employment office in Minden. After his discharge from office, he initially worked as a freelancer and later became a businessman. After the end of World War II , he was Councilor .

In 1946 he was a member of the Provincial Council for Westphalia and in 1946 and 1947 a member of the appointed Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia .

After the Second World War, Dröse was a member of the Minden City Council for the SPD until 1952. From May 23, 1945 to 1948 and from 1950 to 1952 he was deputy mayor of the city of Minden.

In 1957 he was made an honorary citizen of Minden.
