Hermann Effenberger
Hermann Effenberger (born September 14, 1842 in Lauban , † December 14, 1910 in Rome ) was a German portrait and genre painter and draftsman.
Effenberger studied at the Dresden Art Academy with Karl Christian Andreae and Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld . He continued his studies at the Koninklijke Academie voor schone Kunsten in Antwerp .
After graduating, he lived in Leipzig and worked for the " Gartenlaube ". In 1880 he moved to Rome, where he became a member of the German Artists' Association . In 1900 he suffered paralysis there.
