Hermann Klaus Färber (born March 26, 1963 in Böhmenkirch , Göppingen district ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2013 .

Life and work

Hermann Färber is Catholic, married and has five children. He lives with his family in Böhmenkirch .

After attending primary and secondary school, Färber completed an apprenticeship as an agricultural machinery mechanic and farmer . Then he attended the technical college for agriculture, which he graduated as a state-certified economist for agriculture. This was followed by the agricultural master craftsman examination . He ran the family farm for 25 years before becoming a member of the German Bundestag in 2013 .

Political party

Färber joined the CDU in 2012 , but was a non-party member of the CDU district parliamentary group in Göppingen from 2004 to 2009. In the internal party nomination on September 28, 2012, he was elected as a candidate for the 2013 federal election with 305 votes to 198 . On July 8, 2016, he was re-elected to the Bundestag candidate of the CDU in the district of Göppingen with 95.8 percent. Since 2016 he has been deputy chairman of the Göppingen CDU district association.

MP

In the federal election on September 22, 2013, Färber received 49.04% of the first votes and thus won the direct mandate in the constituency of Göppingen . Since then he has been a member of the German Bundestag . In the 19th German Bundestag, Färber is a full member of the Committee on Food and Agriculture , the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety , and the Committee on Petitions . He is also a deputy member of the parliamentary advisory board for sustainable development .

Hermann Färber is a member of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. In his parliamentary group he is a member of the working groups on food and agriculture and petitions. In addition, he is involved in numerous parliamentary groups. The Christian Democrat is a member of the Baden-Württemberg regional group.
