Hermann Grund
Hermann Grund (born February 25, 1893 in Berlin , † August 25, 1953 in Berlin) was a German film producer .
Life
Basic was originally a teacher, worked since 1920 in the film and, as from 1925 manager detectable in various production companies. In 1929 he was promoted to production manager at Terra Film , and in 1931 he founded Fanal-Film together with Erich Waschneck .
In collaboration with director Waschneck, whose productions were mainly produced, Grund created typical entertainment films of the thirties, including The Divine Jette , which Grethe Weiser helped to achieve. In 1939, the private company was dissolved on the instructions of Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels and Grund was taken over by UFA as production manager . From 1942 he worked as a production group leader at Tobis , most recently he was manager of Berlin-Film .
After the end of the war he re-founded Fanal-Film with Waschneck, but was only able to make one film.
