Hermann Haneder

Hermann Haneder (born January 5, 1952 in Klein Wetzles, municipality of Groß Gerungs in Austria ) was President of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Lower Austria (AKNÖ) and chairman of the Lower Austrian Trade Union Federation ( ÖGB ).

Career

Hermann Haneder completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter between 1970 and 1973 and graduated from the master craftsman school.

After his training, Haneder worked as a foreman and deputy foreman at various construction companies. Haneder had been with Universale Bau since 1979 , where he was elected to the works council in 1984 and chairman of the central works council in 1992. After the takeover of Universale Bau at the beginning of 2000 by the international construction group Alpine , Haneder was re-elected to the central works council.

Since 1994 Hermann Haneder has been a member of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labor and has been active in various committees. Between 2002 and 2006, Haneder was the deputy federal chairman of the Bau-Holz trade union and its Lower Austrian regional chairman from 2002 to 2009.

From 2008 he was Vice President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labor. In 2009 Haneder was elected the top candidate of the Social Democratic Union ( FSG Lower Austria) for the election of the Chamber of Labor. On June 29, 2009, he was elected President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labor by the general assembly and replaced the AKNÖ President Josef Staudinger , who had been in office until then .

In November 2009 he was also elected chairman of the ÖGB NÖ. In addition to his role as President of the AKNÖ, Haneder was still active as the central works council of ALPINE . On November 14, 2013, he resigned as President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labor.

In addition, he has been a councilor in his home town of Sieghartskirchen and president of the SV Sieghartskirchen football club since 2000.

Private

Haneder lives in Sieghartskirchen , is married and has three children.

Awards

On May 2nd, 2012 he was awarded the Golden Commander's Cross of Honor for Services to the State of Lower Austria by Governor Erwin Pröll . In 2013 he received the ring of honor of the city of St. Pölten from Mayor Matthias Stadler . In 2014 he received the Great Silver Decoration of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria .
