Hermann Kemper

Hermann Kemper (born April 5, 1892 in Nortrup in the district of Osnabrück , † July 13, 1977 ) was a German engineer and inventor of the magnetic levitation train .

Life

Hermann Kemper, a member of the family of the sausage and meat products manufacturer Kemper , founded in 1888 , succeeded as early as 1933 in constructing a functioning circuit for floating on the principle of electromagnetic attraction, which was controllable. The engineer from Nortrup was then allowed to 1934 in the German Patent Office , the invention under the number 643316 a monorail with loose wheels vehicles, which is guided on running rails iron by means of magnetic fields along Mid ( maglev Register). Honors
