Hermann Lehnert

Karl Ludwig Hermann Lehnert (born March 7, 1808 in Magdeburg ; † October 11 or October 22, 1871 in Berlin ) was a Prussian lawyer and ministerial official.

Life

Hermann Lehnert, born the son of the late Privy Council financial Johann Christoph Lehnert, studied at the Universities of Bonn and Berlin law . In 1826 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After completing his studies, he became an auscultator in 1828 and a trainee lawyer in 1830. From 1834 to 1836 he was an Inquirent at the Commission to Investigate Treasonous Connections. From 1836 to 1843 he was a laborer in the Ministry of Justice. In 1842 he was appointed member of the chamber judge. In 1843 he became an unskilled worker in the Prussian Ministry of Spiritual, Educational and Medical Affairs . At the same time as his work in the Ministry of Justice and Education, he was a university judge at the Friedrich Wilhelms University until 1848. In 1848 he asked to be dismissed from the service due to the political situation. His request was honorably rejected and he was appointed lecturer council and transferred the signing rights of all concepts and the representation of the minister. From 1849 until his death in 1871 he was acting director of the medical department. In 1853 he became director of the scientific deputation for the medical sector and in 1858 director of the teaching department. In 1861 he was appointed Undersecretary of State. In 1865 he became a member of the Prussian State Council .
