Hermann Sandkämper

Hermann Sandkämper (born January 11, 1930 in Gellenbeck , Osnabrück district ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and a former member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After finishing elementary school in Gellenbeck, which has been part of Hagen am Teutoburg Forest since 1972 , Hermann Sandkämper completed an apprenticeship as a company electrician. He attended a technical college and graduated as an industrial technician. From 1944 to 1986 he was an employee of Georgsmarienhütte GmbH . There he was a member of the works council for 25 years , from 1973 as its deputy chairman. Sandkämper joined the CDU and the Junge Union in 1956 and became a CDU board member at city, district and district level. In addition, he worked in the Christian-Democratic workforce as district and district chairman and he took over the chairmanship of the supervisory board of the social housing cooperative in Osnabrück . For his work he was awarded the Cross of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany . From June 6, 1967 to June 20, 1990 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 6th to 11th electoral term for the Georgsmarienhütte state electoral district .

Since 1953 he has been with Anneliese, geb. Bredol, married. The couple have eight children.
