Hermann Seippel

Hermann Seippel (born February 23, 1884 in Barmen , † April 19, 1937 in Essen ) was a German administrative officer, local politician and industrial manager .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Barmen, Seippel studied law and political science at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1902 he became a member of the Alemannia Bonn fraternity during his studies . In 1906 he passed the first state examination and then did his military service as a one-year volunteer with the Grand Ducal Hessian Field Artillery Regiment No. 61 in Darmstadt . In 1911 he passed the assessor exam and in 1912 joined the Düsseldorf city administration. After actively participating in the First World War, he became an alderman in Sterkrade in 1919 and an alderman and city ​​treasurer in Essen in 1921 . In 1927 he left the municipal career and became a board member of Ruhrgas AG . He was also a member of the supervisory board of Rheinisch-Westfälische Elektrizitätswerke AG .

Seippel was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Oberhausen zu Essen and chairman of the Folkwang Museum Association in Essen.
