Hermann Tomada
Hermann Tomada (born February 22, 1907 in Höchst im Odenwald ; † January 5, 1990 in Darmstadt ) was a German painter and sculptor who lived and worked in Darmstadt.
Life

After an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, Tomada studied painting and sculpture at the Cologne factory schools from 1938 to 1944 . From 1945 to 1949 he worked as a freelance painter and sculptor. From 1949 to 1956 he was Hermann Geibel's assistant at the chair for freehand drawing and applied sculpture at the Technical University of Darmstadt . Since 1955 he was a member of the New Darmstadt Secession , in 1956 he moved to Darmstadt, in 1960 he became a member of the New Rhineland-Palatinate Group , in 1962 a member of District 60 ( Düsseldorf ), in 1966 a member of the Ulm Artists' Guild .
Hermann Tomada was buried in the old cemetery in Darmstadt (grave site: II wall 165).
