Hermann Wassertrilling

Hermann Wassertrilling , also Ẓebi-Hirsch ben Nathan Wassertrilling , (Zwi-) Hirsch Wassertrilling וואססערטריללינג, צבי הירש ב"ר נתן (* Boskowitz , Moravia ; † 1887 , ibid) was a rabbi and author .

Before 1850 he worked as a teacher at the Jewish school in Hotzenplotz in Moravian Silesia . After 1850 as a rabbi in Bojanowo , Province of Poznan .

All of his writings were published in Breslau .

Works

  • Hadrat Elisha (1857), an epic in 9 songs , describing the life of the prophet Elisha ; a history of kings as an appendix.
  • Nezer Hamudot (1860), an epic in eight songs, containing the story of the people of Israel beginning with Daniel and his companions, through the time of the Babylonian , Medinan and Persian kings to the return of the people of Israel to Jerusalem and the construction of the Second Temple .
  • Mattenat Nahali'el (Part I 1860; Part II, 1868), a collection of legends from the Talmud , Midrash and the Commentaries on the Midrash in verse form and divided into weekly lessons.
  • Torat ha-Berit (1869), a treatise on the question of circumcision at the Synod of Leipzig in July 1869.
