Hermann Zapf (born March 26, 1886 in Ludwigsburg , † May 8, 1957 in Hanover ) was a German politician (NSDAP).

Live and act

After attending elementary school from 1892 to 1900, Zapf trained as a businessman. From 1905 to 1908 he belonged to the Dragoon Regiment "Queen Olga" (1st Württembergisches) No. 25 . He then worked from 1908 to 1914 and from 1919 to at least 1938 as a commercial clerk in various industrial and trading companies.

From August 1914 until the end of the war in 1918, Zapf took part in the First World War with the fusilier regiment “Prince Heinrich von Preußen” (Brandenburgisches) No. 35 , in which he was promoted to deputy sergeant. From 1919 to 1928 Zapf was a member of the steel helmet . In 1930 he joined the NSDAP and SA . In the SA, Zapf was appointed leader of the SA subgroup Essen in September 1932 and leader of the SA Brigade 60 on September 15, 1933.

From March 1933 to May 1945 Zapf was a member of the NSDAP for constituency 15 (East Hanover) in the Reichstag.
