Hermann von Wolffradt

Hermann von Wolffradt , also Hermann Wulfrath , (born December 6, 1629 in Greifswald , † January 2, 1684 in Lüssow ) was Chancellor of the Swedish-Pomeranian government in Stralsund .

Life

The eldest son of Berendt Wolffradt (also Wulffrath , 1600–1660), who was ennobled in 1647 , and Barbara Heroldt became a member of the royal court in Greifswald in 1656 with the title of Hofrat . From 1660 to 1669 he was resident at the Brandenburg court. He was then appointed to the government of Swedish Pomerania in Stralsund as a councilor. From 1680 until the end of his life he was Chancellor of the government. In this office he worked several times as an envoy on behalf of the King of Sweden.

After the death of his father in 1660, he received the Pomeranian part of the family property - located on the mainland - while his younger brother Berendt (1643–1693) inherited the part of the Rügen family . In 1670 he bought the Owstin and Lüssow estates from the von Owstin family . 1671 he was by the government in Stralsund the possession of the goods Schmatzin with the Vorwerk confirmed Schlatkow.

Hermann von Wolffradt was married to Christine Rehnskiöld (1640–1707), the daughter of the government councilor Gerdt Anton Rehnskiöld (Rehnschild) , since 1658 . The marriage had seven sons and six daughters. These were:
