Hermann Chapel

The Hermann chapel is located in the Upper Palatinate town of Pleystein on the Mühlgraben. It belongs to the parish of Pleystein.

history

The chapel was in 1922 by Anton Hermann gratitude for his safe return from the first World War built.

Construction

The chapel was built in the neo-Gothic style . It is a steep roof building with a choir closed on three sides . It was built as polygonal masonry and has a stepped gable . The entrance door and side windows are framed with plaster.

Interior

The chapel room is separated from the choir by a high dining grille . At the altar there is a baroque Pietà , behind it there is a cross without a corpus, but with a cross cloth. On June 10, 1934, the Chapel's Way of the Cross was consecrated by the parish priest Anton Serr.
