The Herrmann Nunatak is a Nunatak in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Ford Ranges, it looms 6 km northeast of the eastern end of the Phillips Mountains .
Participants in the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered and mapped it. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after John Lovejoy Herrmann (1892-1983), photographer of the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) of the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd .
