Beuschel-Menze founded AOL Verlag in the Lichtenau district of Scherzheim in 1980 and is the author of over 300 books and encyclopedias, teaching and learning materials and apps for various publishers (AOL Verlag, Bertelsmann , Duden , Rowohlt, etc.).

She has been a member of the Greens since 1980 and represented them for 16 years in the Lichtenau local council or in the Scherzheim local council. From 1994 to 1999 she was the deputy honorary mayor of Lichtenau. As a founding member and board member of the non-profit, non-partisan public welfare forum Baden, she takes care of the sustainable design of the home in the Mittelbaden region and a sustainable culture - among other things as board member of the Singgemeinschaft Scherzheim.

She has taught as a teacher in grammar school, secondary school, secondary school and elementary school in Germany and abroad.

As the head of the PISA editorial team, since 2002 she has made sure that the free study letters for educators, pupils, parents, teachers and booksellers are brought up to date. The course is free and the certificate is valid for the entire following year if the exam is passed. Mirko Mieland took over the editorial management in autumn 2018.

She pushed the discussion on the inhibition of similarity in Germany and ensured that this learning obstacle, named after its discoverer, the Ranschburg phenomenon , is taken into account in all publications of the AOL Verlag and achieved that on the problem of the inhibition of similarity in the official curricula of Baden-Württemberg, among others is expressly pointed out.

She has fundamentally changed learning in the Federal Republic of Germany since the mid-1980s through her development of the 5-subject learning box made of solid board at AOL Verlag (for thorough learners) and since 2002 through the 3-subject learning box at Lundi-Learn (for hasty learners). Their flash cards and learning boxes are the model for all other learning boxes of the large textbook and learning publishers from the mid-1990s and the basis for the numerous learning apps that take up the new learning principle of the analog and later digital multi-subject learning box, as it was for the first time Developed in 1972 by the learning psychologist Sebastian Leitner : The learning material is divided into its smallest, still meaningful learning units, converted into question / answer form and packed into learning subjects arranged one after the other. Known material is repeated at ever-increasing intervals whenever it threatens to fade, whereas not known material is repeated daily until it "sits".

In 2005, together with Giuseppe Graziano and Jörg Horstmann, she developed the world's first learning program for mobile phones and, with the "studymobile-factory", software that even primary school students could use to create their own learning programs for mobile phones.

In 2000 she and her husband set up the Civil Courage Foundation and endow it with endowment assets of DM 1 million. The aim of the foundation is to support all schools in honoring one or more people from the school or its environment for Civil Courage once a year. She is currently publishing the "Calendar for Civil Courage", which has been developed by the pedagogy author Marianne Fritz-Friedmann since 2011 and which was completed in 2017. In it, up-to-date worksheets and information sheets are created for each day of the year, which describe an event, a personality or a development through which the development of bourgeois democracy was and is promoted. She and her husband have been a member of the Giordano Bruno Foundation (GBS) since 2017 and, over the next ten years, will support various GBS projects that support civil courage in our society with the majority of her foundation assets. The aim of their foundation work is to transfer the foundation to the GBS as soon as possible - as soon as the legal prerequisites have been created.

On January 30, 2013, the world's first perma-book +, edited and edited by her, was published by HERMEDIA-Verlag. Its title: 1933 | 2033. 100 years of remembrance work. The Civil Courage Foundation is presenting the book, which will be updated annually through QR codes in the print edition until 2033 . Since the use of the QR code in Germany has not yet been sufficiently established, the active distribution of the book and its updating have been discontinued.

On April 28, 2012 she was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg by Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann for her political, literary, educational and social activities and successes, which have contributed to the fact that the PISA results in Germany are not yet in international comparison turned out worse. When she was awarded the Medal of Merit, she also got to know the artist Gunter Demnig and was then able to persuade the Lichtenau City Council to start the project “Lichtenau reminds” in 2013 (80 years after Hitler came to power), in which the Jewish people use stumbling blocks Fellow citizens are to be remembered who were expelled from Lichtenau and murdered in the Third Reich. In the past centuries Lichtenau had up to 20% Jewish citizens and owed its economic boom in the 19th century to these citizens. The municipal council of the city of Lichtenau has issued a resolution in favor of supporting the culture of remembrance, but has not yet implemented further measures (as of December 2018).
