Hervé Loste

Hervé Loste (born May 29, 1926 in Villenave-d'Ornon , † February 10, 1994 in Nouméa , New Caledonia ) was a French politician. From 1962 to 1967 he was a member of the National Assembly .

Born in mainland France, Loste worked in New Caledonia and Wallis and Futuna in the company of his grandfather André Ballande , who died in 1936 . Like his grandfather, Loste was politically active and in March 1962 was one of three candidates for the first seat in the National Assembly for Wallis and Futuna. In the first ballot he was able to prevail with 57.6% of the vote and joined the IPAS in parliament . A little later, his father Henry Loste moved into the Senate for Wallis and Futuna . In December 1962 he had to stand again for election and was confirmed as a member of parliament with 57.5% of the vote. However, in 1967 he was beaten by Benjamin Brial . The following year this defeated him again. Loste died in New Caledonia in 1994.
